New Connection Process: Application, Procedure, and Tracking

Are you moving to a new house or office and looking for a new electricity connection? If you live in Pakistan or any of its cities or villages, you can get an electricity supply from WAPDA. The Water and Power Development Authority has made getting a new electricity connection very easy for applicants.

But how should one apply for a new electricity connection from WAPDA? There are two ways to apply: online or offline. Both methods are very simple to follow, but most new applicants opt for the online method now. Once you fill out the application form, the WAPDA ENC (Electricity New Connection) team will start the process and install the new connection when all of the criteria are fulfilled.

We’ll walk you through everything in this guide to help you apply for a new connection without missing out on anything.

Offline Application Process

Although a lot of people opt for the online application process, some people still like doing things the old-fashioned way. The offline method is hectic as you will need to visit the office in your area of concern. Here is the complete procedure to apply offline for a new meter:

  • Wait for the team to visit the site for a survey to provide a new connection. This survey can take days or sometimes weeks as well, depending upon the workload of the company
  • After the survey, the team will issue a demand note with the specified amount required to get a new connection. This cost includes everything from equipment costs to installation charges
  • Pay the Demand Note in the allocated time to avoid any delays. There are different ways you can pay the demand note like online banking, the customer service center, or by visiting the bank
  • The team will install and activate the new connection when they receive the amount specified on the Demand Note
